Site resources used
Thanks to the providers of the following resources I used for this site:
Brushes
Fonts
Icons and Images
- Alien icons - I used these icons for my new RSS and email subscription icons. Really cute!
- FamFamFam
- GoSquared - Design Pages
- My Live Signature - If you've been in my blog page, then maybe you've already seen the signature at the bottom. If you want one of those, you can visit this resource's link and create one for yourself. I think its cute and great. :)
- Ruby on Rails Button - It was so hard to find a good button. His was actually a wallpaper, I just cropped the button at the middle. Looks good though. :)
- Stock Xchange - leading free stock photography site
- Template - A notebook image by ba1969 in http://sxc.hu
- Tuzki - I found Tuzki the cute rabbit created by Wang Momo.
Made me laugh. Its soo cute and really funny. I may be incorporating Tuzki in my site soon.
Inspirations
- Kev Adamson's award winning site - I like his own made graphics and his CSS styles. Really beautiful.
- Wooden Fence Wordpress Template - I used this them on my new Wordpress blog, and loved it! And so I tried to port the design itself to my other sites. These sites are both on Rails. One I had to manually make the layout using his styles and images, and the other was in Liquid on Mephisto.
Scripts and Tricks
Tools and Softwares
- Adam Kalsey's Button Maker - How can I forget this? I was just going to create new buttons when I realized I didn't add this in the list of my used resources. How lame of me. Well, here it is then! Great tool for creating your ever beautiful buttons! :)
- BitNami RubyStack Framework - webserver plus Rails for the RoR aspect
- Blog Stickers - Really cool, easily changeable blog stickers for your site! Who doesn't like stickers??
- Favicon Creator - I just fixed my favicon and I used the aid of this tool from Dynamic Drive. All you have to do is supply your own jpg or gif image and it generates the icon file. :)
- Firefox Browser - Firefox
- LiveQuartz - A new image editor I discovered. I find it easier to use than Seashore.
- RoRED - a development IDE that is Rails centric
- Skitch - I use this tool a lot. WYSIWYG but its fairly fast and easy. Very usable for quick editing tasks.. otherwise, use somethin' else!
- TextWrangler - I am working on a Mac environment, though there's textmate, I like textwrangler better because its free and simpler to use.
- Xml Sitemap Generator - This is very helpful for maintaining your sitemaps. Quick and really easy to use. And you'd get different versions of sitemap formats that fit your needs. I used the generic XML and the html format which I tweaked a bit.
