  • Description:

This project began as a static revamp of an existing corporate site in time for a new company venture.

It was initially spec'd out that it was to be built in a lightweight manner, supporting minimal dynamic functionalities. Therefore, it was conceived to be developed only in PHP. I planned to use only Smarty templates to power query caching as well as section/page caching.

After a decision that the platform was supposed to extend to a social networking site, the plan was shifted to Rails. I agreed for, in fact it was easier and faster for me than to go back to full PHP programming. According to plans of extending its use, and providing a means for them who don't have Rails developers to work on it, I decided to use Radiant CMS.

This was my second Radiant project. The first one was a personal exploration that did not last, for I chose Mephisto over Radiant for my Coderkitty Blog.

The project was a success, having it also be the first project I have deployed using Passenger. It was fast, easy and provided easy extensibility using Radiant's third party extensions.

The pre-public deploy of the site was via my own domain. See it here: http://cybersoftweb.sweetperceptions.com.

Hi, I've been busy you know. wink If you don't know yet, this site and my blog codes are hosted in Unfuddle. I recently moved to Git and found that they have support for private Git repositories. Below are details of my last git push.
